about us
The Welch House Inn's unique position atop McKown hill offers guests magnificent views of Boothbay Harbor, Mill Cove, and the open ocean. The 1870's house was, for many years, the home of people who made their living from the sea. It has been operated as an Inn for over 50 years, now offering 14 guest rooms with private baths, cable TV, VCR, air conditioning and WI-FI is offered in the common areas.
Most rooms have spectacular harbor views, and many have gas fireplaces or down comforters. Other amenities include two large decks with panoramic views, ocean-facing breakfast and living rooms, an excellent collection of books and games, a large video library, and 24 hour coffee and tea service.
Our full breakfast (included in the price of your stay) has been featured in ''Getaways for Gourmets in the NorthEast'' and our outstanding quality and attention to detail earned us the Fodor's Guide ''Fodor's Choice'' designation in their 2006 New England edition.
